Day 11

Tyler and I slept in very late and got dressed to go to the meeting. We met his parents at a cafe close to their hotel and began the long walk back to the Kingdom Hall. The congregation we attended was one of 2 English congregations in Munich and it has about 50 publishers. Today many of the local publishers were missing from the meeting, but there were other tourists there from the USA, plus us from snowy Canada to help out.

After the meeting, some of the Americans came over and asked if we were Americans too. They seemed disappointed when we told them that we were from Canada. They must be jealous. One brother was originally from California but had lived in Munich for the last 30 years.

After the meeting, Tyler's parents went to the train station to catch their train to Salzburg, while we went back to our hostel to change. We'll be meeting up with them again in Salzburg on Oct 14.

For the rest of the afternoon, we went to the royal palace, the Residenz. It was closed on Sundays, but there's a very nice park outside it where we walked around and took some pictures. Tomorrow we plan to visit the Dachau concentration camp, just outside Munich. Then we'll be leaving for Salzburg, Austria in the afternoon.

Auf Wiedersehen,

Jim
